{"id":8801,"date":"2023-04-25T13:36:11","date_gmt":"2023-04-25T13:36:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eastcoasttrail.com\/?p=8801"},"modified":"2023-07-13T13:12:06","modified_gmt":"2023-07-13T13:12:06","slug":"press-release-east-coast-trail-association-launches-annual-fundraising-event","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eastcoasttrail.com\/press-release-east-coast-trail-association-launches-annual-fundraising-event\/","title":{"rendered":"Press Release: East Coast Trail Association Launches Annual Fundraising Event"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Press Release<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>For Immediate Release<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>East Coast Trail Association Launches Annual Fundraising Event <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>St. John&#8217;s, NL &#8211; April 25, 2023 &#8211; The East Coast Trail Association (ECTA) is pleased to announce the \u201c2023 Trail Raiser Community Hike,\u201d returning on International Trails Day, Saturday, June 3!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Trail Raiser Community Hike is presented by Event Champion, ExxonMobil, and supported by adventure sponsor, The Outfitters and community sponsor, the Town of Pouch Cove.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This year\u2019s Community Hike is on the ECT from Bauline to Flatrock; White Horse Path, Biscan Cove Path, and Stiles Cove Path. The day will include all participants enjoying a hike on one of the fundraisers designated routes, lunch, local entertainment and fundraising prizes. We are targeting a fundraising goal of $100,000 to help maintain, enhance, develop, and protect the East Coast Trail.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cOur goal is to fundraise for the East Coast Trail\u2019s maintenance, development, enhancement, and protection\u201d said Shane Skinner, ECTA VP of Fundraising &amp; Revenue. \u201cWe hope this event will bring out East Coast Trail enthusiasts of all ages and encourage participants to get out and enjoy the breathtaking East Coast Trail.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The \u201cTrail Raiser Community Hike\u201d celebrates the ECTA and can be completed individually or as a team. This event is open to everyone: individuals, communities, and businesses, with the only requirement being a minimum fundraising amount of $50. This year, we will also be offering a bus from various locations in St. John\u2019s to assist those who may not have a vehicle to join us in Pouch Cove.
