\n<\/b>St. John’s NL, Sept. 24, 2010 – The East Coast Trail Association today announced it has received a $50,000 donation from ExxonMobil Canada. This announcement coincides with a staff hike along the East Coast Trail on Sept. 24, 2010.<\/span>

\n<\/span>“ExxonMobil Canada is proud to play a role in the development and preservation of the East Coast Trail,” says Meg O’Neill, President of ExxonMobil Canada. “We organized a staff hike today to encourage our workforce to get out and enjoy this coastal treasure. Through the work of the association, we are able to see parts of the Avalon Peninsula most of us would otherwise not be able to access. “<\/span>

\n<\/span>The East Coast Trail Association welcomes the continued support of ExxonMobil Canada. The Association depends on charitable donations for much of its work. “We appreciate this significant contribution, and all past contributions from ExxonMobil Canada,” said Randy Murphy, President of the ECTA. “The combined contribution from government and corporations such as ExxonMobil Canada gives us the funds necessary for development and maintenance of the trail.”<\/span>
