Flamber Head Awards 28 April : Accepting Nominations for 2011<\/b><\/h2>\n

Recognizing our Community Stars.<\/b>
\n<\/b>
\n<\/b>Join us on the evening of Thursday 28 April 2011 as the East Coast Trail Association honours volunteers who exemplify the association’s mission-centered commitment to the Trail. A pot luck supper at the Justina Centre gets underway at 6:30 p.m. and awards will be made at 7:30 p.m.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Flamber Head Awards<\/b> are presented annually to outstanding volunteers who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to volunteerism and the association over a minimum of three years. They exemplify leadership, creativity, cooperation and hard work.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Our association is led by volunteers, <\/span><\/i>said Randy Murphy, President. <\/span>Many have made an outstanding contribution to the Association, and therefore to the community, through volunteer service. We wish to recognize their integrity and commitment to excellence.<\/span><\/i>
\n<\/span><\/i>
\n<\/span><\/i>You can help.<\/b>
\n<\/b>Nominations for this year’s awards will be accepted until Sunday April 17 2011. <\/span>I am pleased to note that ECTA members Gene Herzberg, Barry MacKay and Elke Dettmer have agreed to serve as a selection committee,<\/span><\/i>\u00a0said Randy. A nomination statement for each candidate should explain why the candidate qualifies for this award.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>The Justina Centre is at 108 Outer Cove Road in Logy Bay Middle Cove Outer Cove. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. on the 28th of April.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Volunteer Week in Newfoundland and Labrador is celebrated a bit earlier in the month (April 10 to 16) but we are adopting its theme, so please join us as we celebrate the <\/span>Stars<\/i><\/b> in our community who make the East Coast Trail the free, accessible and awesome treasure we all know and love.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
